Pambazuka Music Ministry Pastor Joan Wairimu is an associate pastor at Jesus Manifestation Church working closely with her husband, Bishop Mwangangi. The ministry has more than 10 branches across the country with Nairobi having two with approximately over 2000 members. The ministry has a street rehabilitation programme, Mercy Child Programme in Githurai 45, Nairobi, and currently accommodates 45 street children in the ages between 3 years and 16, all of whom are in various schools within the estate. Pastor Joan has a very successful ladies ministry whereby she organizes ladies' meetings from various denominations, the latest was held in April this year (2006) where over 1500 ladies attended. She and her husband has had successful open air crusades around the country where thousands have given their lives to Jesus Christ and many received their healing both physically and economically. The meetings are characterized by a great revelation of the word of God and the anointing to bring forth the manifestations of salvation, deliverance and great miracles. Pastor Joan quit her job in a chemist, she started working on her music though she could not manage to produce them because of financial problems and in the year 1995, God opened a chance for her and she did her first album (Ngoro Yakwa (My Heart) was out and it became an instant hit. It sold all over the country and became day's order in the media houses. Up to now she has released six albums with the latest Pambazuka na Yesu, which is currently receiving considerable air play in the major media houses in the country and also among the top ten in the country's gospel songs chart. God has really blessed her through this ministry and she has received testimonies of people receiving Jesus Christ in their lives and others receiving healing all over the world She strives to invest and impact in the souls of those already saved a seed of holiness and righteousness. She has been bestowed with the burden in her heart to restore the ministry of true worship in the churches and to equip, bestow and revive the ministry of ladies in the churches today. This she has managed by organising Gospel music extravaganzas, ladies conferences and overnight prayers. Go to our online album. |
